"Brucetown Mills was perhaps the most difficult subject with regard to light sources. The foreground was shaded by the mountain behind me so it feels cool, where the background has the sun beating down on all the fall foliage so its very bright and sunny. West Virginia has hundreds of these old places, where small towns popped up around waterways. Being a landlocked state, rivers and streams are appreciated in a special way."
